Multiple Transport Engines

Networking environment can vary and at the same organization, a replication may have targets on the same LAN or on the other side of the globe. To achieve the required level of mission-critical reliability and efficiency, RDS employs a robust transport layer that allows flexible selection between transfer methods for each network topology and data characteristics to be used.

  • LAN Transport - Gets the most out of LAN connections, geared for speed and maximum throughput
  • WAN Transport - Maximizes the WAN connection, providing recovery at a bock level, transparent compression, bandwidth limit control, integrity checks, and more
  • LFA Transport - Large Files Accelerator high speed file transfer handles delivery of large-file assets overcoming TCP/IP latency and packet, achieving maximum throughput from any type of network. LFA features include transparent compression, differential transfer, SSL support, and more.

The variety of enhanced file transfers in RDS makes it versatile enough to handle multiple and different requirements across the enterprise under a single solution.
