RDS is feature rich allowing it to be easily integrated into enterprise processes.
RDS features include:
- Replicating both in push mode or pull mode
- Defining the exact logic for replacing or purging files by the replication process
- Preserving NTFS and UNIX security attributes and permissions
- Defining selected files to be included and/or excluded from the replication
- Automated and unattended recovery resumes at the exact point of failure
- Optional preview and manual confirmation of the data before it is replcated
- Ability to tune down the cpu, I/O and network resource to be totally non disruptive to critical processes
- Easy management allowing control of hundreds of defined proceses
- Support for User defined pre and post replication commands
- Reporting and logging options including Windows Event Viewer, UNIX Syslog
- E-mail notification including the ability to get early warning about replication process encountering problems and entering recovery.
