R-1 is a completely secured distribution solution that overcomes traditional problems associated with content deployments. All access is granular to the file level and denied by default, unless you specifically permit it. Trusted IP addresses, subnets, users, and schedules are supported, as well as the total anonymity of user/password/directory information from one host to another, thus allowing for secure transport between untrusted networks.
This authentication proxy mechanism adds a layer of autonomy to B2B content distribution, enabling hosts that do not trust each other to synchronize massive content stores without having to divulge anything beyond the machine name or IP address, virtual user, and virtual password.
R-1 offers OpenSSL to enable Encryption and Authentication for all communication during the deployment process.
