El Mercurio, Chile's Largest Newspaper, Enhances Web Infrastructure with RepliWeb to Support Escalation of Web Content and Readership during the 2010 World Cup

RepliWeb software powers real-time publication of game updates, video clips, team statistics, commentary, and other content throughout El Mercurio's production data centers

RepliWeb, a leader in web deployment automation and application lifecycle management software, today announced that El Mercurio, Chile's largest online news portal, selected its' RepliWeb Deployment (R-1) product to automate and accelerate the publication of rich media, content and live commentary throughout its datacenter infrastructure.

El Mercurio anticipated a 30% increase in web traffic during the 2010 World Cup, and sought a solution that could help them to ensure real-time publication of content, play-by-play updates, video, statistics and other fan-essential futbol information throughout the two week event. "El Mercurio operates the number-one news information portal in Chile.
