RepliWeb Selected by Wind River to Manage Global-Wan Application and Content Releases

November 4th, 2008 - RepliWeb, a leader in web content and application deployment automation, today announced that Wind River (NASDAQ: WIND) selected RepliWeb Deployment (R-1) to deploy enterprise applications, code updates and business information throughout Wind River’s global network of remote offices.
Wind River selected RepliWeb Deployment (R-1) for its highly efficient WAN engine that delivers block-level recovery and automatic-resume from the point where a connection failed. The WAN engine overcomes inherent issues such as packet loss latency and dropped lines, assuring the delivery of critical updates. R-1’s GUI provided a simple way to configure and launch deployment jobs to precise targets, offering an alternative to time-consuming, error-prone scripting. Immediate benefits were reliable deployments that did not require manual interventions or restarts, the ability to schedule and automate deployments of urgent data and business applications and a reduction of operations resources.
