RepliWeb Announces the Release of R-1 ver. 3.4 For Enterprise Web Content Deployment and Business Continuity
Fort Lauderdale, FL. Tuesday, September 15th, 2004 - RepliWeb, Inc., a leader in enterprise-class data deployment software, announces the launch of RepliWeb's Distribution Manager - R-1 version 3.4, the industry's most comprehensive and flexible web deployment and content replication solution.
The 3.4 release introduces enhanced SSL support, comprehensive file and content filtering functionality and streamlined job properties management. This release is of significant value to RepliWeb's Enterprises and Government Clients that operate in complex and demanding production environments.
Regulatory compliance requirements and prolific expansion of B2B data exchange practices are driving the need for tighter information security policies. Secure and encrypted data transfers are now core requirements for infrastructure and applications teams. RepliWeb is committed helping our customers meet these stringent security requirements and have implemented enhanced GUI driven SSL configuration options and allows for streamlined implementation of Corporate Certificates. Further, all R-1 replication sessions are fully authenticated and allow for granular access capabilities.
When technology is in use to update hundreds of production servers in geographically distributed environments management becomes a greater concern. RepliWeb is thus making significant investments in our RepliWeb Enterprise Manager. The latest enhancement eases management in large-scale enterprises, providing centralized management capabilities.
In addition to security enhancements, RepliWeb has greatly enhanced file management and filtering functionality. As the complexity, size and types of the content under management expands, the need for granular content filtering becomes more important. The 3.4 release includes a new R-1 File Specification mechanism for both Include and Exclude allowing Users to specify multiple and complex filters within the same distribution job. With R-1 installed in numerous multi-hundred-node deployments, RepliWeb introduced a new Propagate feature that allows users to define settings on one server and propagate these settings to other RepliWeb enabled serves on their network.
