How do I verify that a file was replicated using Differential Transfer? |
| A: |
To verify that only the changed buffers in a file were transmitted, use the RDS reports. While submitting a job, request a "Detailed" report to be generated under the Job Properties / General tab. Under the Performance tab request to perform Differential Transfer.

The Totals line shows the actual size of the file (36MB), and the actual amount of data that was transferred (4MB).
NOTE: There is no advantage at all in using the Differential Transfer option with files smaller than 64K.
