RDS - Replication Architecture

Multiple Satellites

Expanding RDS's topography further, we add multiple remote machines to the configuration. Now the Console can define upload (from a Controller to a Satellite) or download (from a Satellite to a Controller) replication jobs between the Controller and multiple Satellites.

Example: Web development is performed on the Controller machine and subsequently uploaded (deployed) to multiple mirror sites.

Replication is NOT limited to uploads only. As indicated by the green arrows between the Controller and Satellites, the replication works in either direction.
