The Controller executes the replication jobs while
running as services in the background. The Controller
supports multiple users running multiple Consoles on
multiple nodes and even via dial-up connections.
The Controller can also serve multiple Satellites.
As such, the Controller is the only part of the
software suite that requires licensing -
keeping management time to a minimum.
